As a teacher, there are always new technologies, new apps, new management systems, new acronyms popping up each school year. But this does feel different. At least in my career, I can’t think of anything this potentially disruptive. AI/AGI, or Artificial Intelligence/Artificial General Intelligence, may be the thing(s) that reshape education forever. There are many ways in which this technology could make us better educators but there are also ways in which this could end up hindering student learning.
